Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Coal (MoC) on August 31, 2026, issued the National Lignite Index with Base year 2021-22 & Representative Prices (in Rs/ton) for the Month of July 2026.

The National Lignite Index, with base year 2021-22, has been compiled for July 2026 as per the approved methodology using certified data from eight lignite sector companies. The corresponding Representative Prices (RP) in ₹/tonne for July 2026 have also been determined.

The Index and Representative Prices for the month of July 2026 are provided in the annexure for reference and necessary use.
